INFORMATION FOR INCOMING FIRST YEAR STUDENTS
Information - WITH LINKS TO THE REQUIRED SUPPLIES AND READING LISTS for incoming undergraduate students - including those transfer students assigned to Architecture 163 (Introduction to Design) and/or Architecture 155 (Modes of Communication: Architectural Graphics) is now online at:

All students entering Introduction to Architecture (ARCH 163 and ARCH 163H) must purchase the specified architecture computer in order to have access to the NJSOA network and the software that is available. Please use the NJIT/Dell web portal in order to make your purchase to make sure that you get exactly what is needed. In the meantime, you may click on the links below to find some of the information you will need. Updated computer specifications and additional information for students entering in Fall 2008 will be available in late June, the 2007 specifications are supplied for reference only.

If you purchase your computer by August 1, 2008 you should expect it to arrive at your home in time to bring to school for classes. You should NOT bring the computer into the design studio on the first day. You will need to wait until you are assigned a particular studio and THEN you may start to bring your equipment and set up.
SUMMER PROGRAMS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
For students who will still be in high school in Fall 2008, the New Jersey School of Architecture offers two different residential career exploration programs. Two separate one and one-half day sessions will be held on June 24-25 and July 9-10. There will also be two week-long session held July 13-18 and July 20-25.

NJSOA DESIGN SHOWCASE 2008: APRIL 17th
On Thursday April 20, 2006 the New Jersey School of Architecture hosted its first annual Design Showcase which featured exhibits of current student work and also professional work created by NJSOA alumni. Lectures with CEU credits approved by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) were also provided. Students who participated in the New Orleans, LA (NOLA) Studio with James Dart presented their work and photographs taken when the class went to the areas affected by Hurricane Katrina to work as volunteers during the Spring 2006 recess in March. The third annual Design Showcase will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2008.

SPRING 2008 LECTURE SERIES
The New Jersey School of Architecture maintains an active public lecture series every semester in which distinguished practitioners and academics present. .
Lectures are open to the public and held in Weston Lecture Hall 1.
NJSOA is a registered continuing education provider with AIA.
