Interior Design Curriculum
The minimum credit requirement for graduation with a Bachelor of Art degree in Interior Design is the successful completion of 130 credits of prescribed and pre-approved courses within the curriculum below, as well as the maintenance of an average 2.0 GPA. Students must also maintain an annual average studio GPA of 2.0 to advance to the next course in the studio sequence each successive year.

Courses which fulfill NJIT's General University Requirements are noted with a "GUR" designation. Substitutions of courses may be made on a case-by-case basis as determined by the student's advisor and/or program director.

Course substitutions may be made on a case-by-case basis as determined by the student's advisor and/or program director.
*Depending on interest and course availability, students may elect to take MATH 116 in the Fall semester and postpone MATH 105 until the Spring semester of 1st year. However, students following the MATH 113/114 calculus track must take follow the prescribed course sequence.
**Depending on interest and course availability, students may elect to take the 2nd year social science GUR requirements out of sequence: SS 201 (or accepted equivalent) may be taken in the Fall semester and Principles of Psychology I (Rutgers) postponed until the Spring semester.
